ISAMBARD BRUNEL ROAD
Colas, working on behalf of Portsmouth City Council, plan to carry out road works in Portsmouth Road.
When are the works taking place?
The works will start on Monday 1st April and will take up to 4 weeks to complete, weather permitting. Our working hours during the day for the preparation works will be 7:30am—4:00pm and will take about 3-5 days. We will then complete the work during the night between 7:30pm - 4:30am. There will be no weekend working.
What will be done?
We will be resurfacing Isambard Brunel Road under a full road closure. Access to Isambard Brunel Road will be closed via Greetham Street and Alec Rose Lane. Diversions will be signposted through the city via Station Street and Winston Churchill Avenue.
What impact will it have on me?
Due to the nature of the works, there will be a road closure in place which will have clear, signed diversions.
Road users are advised to expect some delays and use alternative routes where possible. Please also allow extra time for journeys.
Access for residents and businesses will be maintained however there may be some minor delays. Footways will be open for pedestrians.
