NETWORK SERVICES
Colas' Network Management team coordinates all works carried out across Portsmouth to ensure there are no conflicts and the traffic moves as freely as possible. The team also manage the road network and ensure that anyone working on the highway does so in accordance with government regulations and guidelines.
ELECTRICAL
Poor street lighting can lead to an increased risk of road accidents and higher crime levels. Colas' experienced Electrical team look after all aspects of street lighting across the city keeping the streets well lit and safe.
CAPITAL WORKS
The Capital Works team complete Life Cycle Replacement (LCR) works on Portsmouth's roads and footways. This involves resurfacing them when they come to the end of their life cycle.
STREET CLEANSING
With a 90+ strong team, Colas complete all aspects of street cleansing in Portsmouth working a full 7 day week, 365 days of the year.
HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE
Our Highways Maintenance team are responsible for looking after the roads, pavements, drains & gullies, road markings, street furniture, grounds maintenance and trees across the Portsmouth network.
WINTER MAINTENANCE
Our Winter Maintenance team are responsible for keeping the city moving during the colder months and have a Winter Maintenance programme in place which runs from 01 October to 30 April each year to deal with snow. They also deal with other emergency events such as flooding and high winds.
